What is the EPS application?
Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), also known as EPS Styrofoam, finds uses in multiple applications, but it is primarily employed as protective packaging for electronic items and household appliances.
Its exceptional mechanical protection and thermal insulation properties make it particularly suited for packaging perishable food items, such as fish. EPS also finds applications in horticulture as seed trays. EPS packaging is known for its remarkable shock absorbency, which ensures the safeguarding of a wide range of items. Its compression resistance makes it an excellent choice for stackable packing of goods. When it comes to safety, EPS shines through, finding use in products such as children’s car seats and cycling helmets, where durability, shock absorbency, and strength are imperative.
The helmet liner is also made of EPS foam, which used for shock absorption and cushion.
